A breast reduction might also be advisable if a woman suffers from back pains and postural problems caused by her large bust. In the surgery itself, we remove excessive fat tissue and glandular tissue, shift the areola upwards and also tauten the skin if necessary. The result is a significantly smaller, lighter bust that also appears natural in its proportions.<\/p>\n<p>Surgical breast reductions instantly achieve lasting results: the patient\u2019s breasts are tangibly lighter immediately after the surgery, they can wear a smaller bra straight away \u2013 and no longer have to hide their bust away when out in public. Exactly how much tissue we remove and by how much we reduce chest measurement at the bust\u2019s most prominent point varies from one patient to the next. When planning the procedure, we always take the patient\u2019s wishes into account to make certain they\u2019ll be completely satisfied with the results.<\/p>\n<p>However, breast reduction surgery does not affect the underbust measurement. This measurement is determined by the bone structure of the upper torso \u2013 something we can\u2019t reduce in a breast reduction. The surgery simply aims to reduce the volume and weight of the breast itself.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; title=&#8221;Are there any visible scars after breast reduction?&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not any scarring is left behind by the breast reduction primarily depends on the surgical technique used. Breast reductions using suction leave no visible scarring. In this method, the breast\u2019s fat content is reduced through liposuction without the need to make any incisions in the skin. Instead, fine cannulas are used to extract the fat \u2013 and leave behind no visible scarring. However, breast reductions through suction methods are only suitable for breasts with a high fat content.<\/p>\n<p>In a classic (surgical) breast reduction, we work using the so-called T-technique or another technique that results in little scarring. A breast reduction using the T-technique involves three incisions in the skin: one around the areola, a second running vertically down from the areola and a third in the crease beneath the breast. The surgeon then uses these incisions as a means to remove the excess tissue. The diameter of the areola is then reduced before it\u2019s moved to a new position higher on the breast. The low-scarring technique is almost identical, but no incision is made in the crease beneath the breast.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the exact location of any scars can vary depending on the surgical technique. Precisely how visible scars will be after surgery depends on several factors: how the incisions are made, to what extent, and the quality of the individual\u2019s body tissue.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; title=&#8221;Can breast reduction surgery be combined with breast lifting?&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>It is entirely possible to combine a breast reduction with surgery to lift the breast \u2013 indeed, in many cases it makes perfect sense. Opting for a breast lift after the excess tissue has been removed can help to afford the bust a more attractive and dynamic appearance.
