Stubborn fat deposits often become a major burden to those affected. As a result, many people try to improve these problem areas through exercise and a healthy, nutritious diet. However, if such measures fail to yield results, aesthetic medicine has a range of effective methods to reduce body fat.
In cryolipolysis (also known as ‘CoolSculpting®’), we offer our patients an innovative and exceptionally gentle treatment method, which, when successful, can eliminate fat deposits – with lasting results. This minimally invasive treatment involves cooling fat tissue in a controlled procedure. As a consequence and if successful, the body can break down fat cells of its own accord. The results are substantially reduced fat deposits, without any scarring or long recovery periods.
At beauteous, we offer professional CoolSculpting® as a gentle treatment for various areas of the body. This means if the treatment is successful, we can help our patients to eliminate troubling fat deposits without the need for a surgical procedure. For more information on this innovative fat removal method, simply get in touch with us. We’d be happy to tell you more about the procedure and advise you on the potential results in your specific case.
Frequently asked questions on Cryolipolysis / Coolsculpting®
CoolSculpting®, also known as cryolipolysis, is a minimally invasive method for possible fat reduction that works by cooling fat tissue in a targeted procedure. In this treatment, the therapist uses a special device that cools fat cells to around 4 degrees Celsius. This targeted cooling damages the fat tissue and, as a result and if successful, stimulates the body’s own degradation process. As time goes on, the body can break down fat cells of its own accord. Consequently, fat tissue is reduced in the treated area without the need for invasive measures, if the treatment is successful.
Cryolipolysis is primarily suitable for any part of the body to which the treatment device can be properly applied. At beauteous, we particularly use CoolSculpting® to treat stubborn fat around the hips, stomach, upper arms, neck and chin, as well as the inside of the thighs.
However, the procedure is less suitable for use in regions where the tissue is very flat and firm. In CoolSculpting®, we use the treatment device to vacuum the skin above the area of tissue to be treated – something which isn’t always possible in firmer parts of the body. Nevertheless, we’d be happy to advise you on ways you can eliminate fat deposits in these regions of the body.
Cryolipolysis may be suitable to treat cellulite, depending on the situation. Cellulite forms as a result of connective tissue fibres which run between cells and therefore cause contractions in the skin. Aesthetic medicine has a range of effective therapies which can be used to combat the problem. Of course, we would be happy to advise you personally.
The effects of CoolSculpting® are comparable with minor liposuction in the insides of the knees or underarms. If successful, the treatment reduces fat tissue with lasting effects, preventing this tissue from growing again. This is because the treatment can reduce the number of fat cells. What’s more, less fat can be stored in each cell in the treated area.
By contrast, the results of cryolipolysis cannot be compared with those of major liposuction.
We recommend that our patients consciously monitor their diet after a CoolSculpting® procedure. Though the number of fat cells is reduced by the treatment, the body will still continue to store excess calories in fat tissue. Therefore, you should reduce your caloric intake in the long term in order to avoid gaining weight again following cryolipolysis.
Exactly how many sessions you’ll need to achieve optimal results depends on your desired outcome. To begin with, we’ll carry out the treatment once. The final effects of this can be assessed after around 3–4 months, at which point your therapist will work with you to decide on any further treatment sessions.
CoolSculpting® is a controlled procedure in which fat tissue is cooled to around 4 degrees Celsius. As fat cells are more sensitive to cold temperatures than the surrounding tissue, this treatment, if successful, can damage the cells somewhat and can cause the body to break them down.
The body only has a certain number of fat cells and, while they can grow, they cannot reproduce. In cryolipolysis, we reduce the number of cells in which fat can be stored. This allows us to achieve lasting results without having to make incisions in the skin to access the fat tissues directly.
Cryolipolysis is a minimally invasive fat reduction method which requires neither surgery nor anaesthetic. As a result, there is no risk of infection or other surgical risks which apply to classic liposuction. What’s more, in contrast to liposuction, we don’t make any incisions in the skin or remove fat tissue with cannulas. Instead, the fat cells are broken down by the body itself as a result of the treatment.
You don’t need to schedule any rest periods after CoolSculpting®, and can go about your social obligations as normal straight away.
Here at beauteous, we use cryolipolysis as a gentle way to treat stubborn fat deposits with long-lasting results. The treatment reduces fat tissue without any scarring or rest periods required. The result is a visibly toned silhouette which can help you to regain a new sense of self-confidence. We’d be happy to discuss CoolSculpting® with you in detail in a one-to-one consultation.
